Area Celebrates 250 Years

If you were looking for something to do over the long 4th of July weekend, it wasn’t hard to find. Nearly every community in the area had a grand celebration as the country turned 250 years old on Saturday. On Friday afternoon and into the evening, Sardis, Ohio was a good place to be as vendors lined the streets for the Sardis Star Spangled celebration. Opening ceremonies began at 4 pm with the flag retirement ceremony. The grand parade took place at 5:30 and made its way through town to the delight of visitors, friends and neighbors.
