Annual Cline Stansberry Invitational Held at Doddridge
The Annual Cline Stansberry Invitational Track Meet Was Held at Doddridge High School on Friday April 23, with 17 teams and over 300 athletes taking part.
Riley Dennis of Magnolia finished fourth among the runners in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:20.03. The Blue Eagles came in sixth in the 4×800 meter relay in a time of 8:59.13 from a team of Cameron King, Parker Werkau, Manowah Vaughn, and Riley Dennis. Magnolia also took sixth in the 4×110 shuttle hurdles in a time of 1:13.95 from a team of Parker Werkau, Greg Moore, Riley Dennis, and Krayin Price.
In the women’s division Magnolia’s Bella Sockman came up big, finishing second in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.97 to edge out Valley’s Laken Dawson who was third with a time of 13.08. Dawson was first in the preliminary with Sockman second however Lela Wright of Tucker County won the race after finishing third in the prelim.
In the 200 meter dash Sockman was nipped at the finish line by Ripley’s Kyndyll Butler who had a time of 26.32 to Sockman’s 26.42. Valley’s Dawson was third with a time of 27.02. Sockman had finished first in the prelim. And Dawson was second with Butler third.
Magnolia’s Jessa Anderson was third in the 100 meter high hurdles with a time of 17.55. Elkins Marissa Brenwalt won with a time of 14.72.
Valley’s Elynn Derby came in third in the 300 meter lows with a time of 51.31 Parkersburg’s Kelina Utietiang won with a time of 50.52.
Magnolia’s 4X100 meter relay team was fourth in a time of 54.43 from a team of Leah Hartline, Hallee Beisel, Jessa Anderson, and Bella Sockman.
Valley’s 4×200 meter relay team of Elynn Derby, Kendall Loy, Carley Pittman, and Laken Dawson finished fifth in the event with a time of 1:55.28. Magnolia was sixth with a time of 1:55.52 from a team of Ireland Lowe, Hallee Beisel, Jessa Anderson, and Bella Sockman.
Magnolia finished seventh in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 12:40.45 from a team of Hailey Serwatka , Nora Shackleford, Rylee Lookadoo, and Annalise Goddard.
The Blue Eagles Leah Hartline tied for sixth place in the high jump clearing the bar at 4-8.
Valley’s Laken Dawson won the long jump with a leap of 16-3.75. Finishing third was Magnolia’s Jessa Anderson with a leap of 14-6.
