Boys OVAC Championship Track Results

In the boys high jump Class 3-A Magnolia’s Gavin Postlethwait jumped 5-06.00 for a second place tie and four Magnolia points. In the boys Class 3-A 110 shuttle hurdle relay. Magnolia finished in third place with a team of Chase Glover, Marcus Barnes, Brandeon Flanigan, and Brady Renner good for six points in a time of 1:11.55. The Blue Eagles also picked up points in the 4×800 meter relay with a fourth place finish in a time of 9:20.17 with a team of Brady Renner, Gavin Herrick, Lucas Zombotti, and Jordan Davis. Good for four points. Jason Beisel came in fourth good for four points in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.65.

Jason Beisel of Magnolia won the 400 meter dash in Class 3-A with a time of 52.78 to hand Magnolia 10 more points. Beisel also won the 200 meter dash in a time of 23.60 for 10 points, with teammate Gavin Postlethwait coming in third with a 23.95 for six more Blue Eagle points. The Blue Eagle took another first place in the 4×400 meter relay winning by over six seconds with a time of 3:34.42 to give the team 10 more points. The team was made up of Postlethwait, Herrick, Renner and Beisel.

Magnolia finished 17 out of 32 total teams.

River came in fourth in the Class 1A/2A 4X200 meter relay in a time of 1:39.43 good for four points with a team of Kabel Isley, Brody Longwell, Maddox Mozena, and Michael Johnson. River also came in fourth in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 48.27 with a team of Isaly, Longwell, Daniel Sweguard, and Johnson, to add four more points to their total.

Girls OVAC Championship track results

In the girls long jump Class 1A 2A Paden City senior Mallory Yeater finished third with a leap of 14-07.00 good for six points for the Wildcats. Adding 10 points for the Cats was Hope Weber who took first place in the shot put with a toss of 31-04.75. Weber scored another 10 points with a first place throw in the 1A 2A discus event with a throw of 98-03. The Wildcats Hallie McDonald took third in the 100 meter hurdles in 1A 2A with a time of 18.41good for six points. The Wildcats picked up four more points in the 4×200 meter relay finishing in a time of 1:57.73with a team of Maggi Still, Brandis Dalrymple, Madylen Still, and Mallory Yeater. Paden City finished second in the 4x100meter relay in a time of 54.79 with a team of Maggi Still, Mallory Yeater, Hallie McDonald, and Madylen Still to add eight points to the team total. In the 200 meter dash Yeater finished in the third spot with a time of 30.06 good for six Wildcat points.

In Class 3-A Magnolia picked up 10 points when Jaci Rohde came in first with a leap of 16-06.50. For the Blue Eagles Mady Winters tacked on 10 points by winning the shot put on the 3-A division with a toss of 39-07.00. Winters added eight more points for the Blue with a second place finish in the discus with a throw of 114-06. Jaci Rohde picked up four points in the high jump with a fourth place jump of 4-06 to give Magnolia more points. The Blue Eagles 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle team came in third for six team points with a team of Reese Hale, Emma Spitzer, Lauren Gaiser, and Shaela Holliday in a time of 1:19.60. Reese Hale came in second in the Class 3-A 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.64 good for eight Blue Eagle points. Jaci Rohde added eight more points when she finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 13.26. Julia Lilza ran a 54.56 in the 300 meter hurdles for a fourth place finish and four Blue Eagle points.Rohde finished fourth in the 200 meter dash in a time of 28.11 for four points to give her 26 individual points on the day to lead the Blue Eagles. Magnolia added six more points with a third place finish in the 4×400 meter relay in a time of 4:47.27with a team of Kaylee Cline, Shynecka Simmons, Jazlyn Ingold, and Bre Herrick.

River got on the scoreboard in the high jump when Chloe Honneycutt cleared the bar at 4-06 good for third place and six points. River took third place in the 1600 meter run in 1A 2A with Mara Beard finishing in a time of 5:43.60. The Pilots picked up four more points in the 400 meter dash with Honneycutt finishing in a time of 1:09.62. Beard added eight more points for River with a second place finish in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:44.11.

Leah Delaney of Hundred finished second in the 1A/3A shot put with a toss of 29-08.00 good for eight points for the Hornets.

Out of 35 teams in Class1A/2A through Class 5A, Magnolia 3A finished 11th with 72 points, Paden City 1A/2A was next at 12th with 54 points, River 1A/2A was 28th with 12 points, and Hundred 1A/2A was 33rd with eight points.
