Hundred Boys Defeat Paden City

The Hundred Hornets traveled to Paden City on Monday, January 9 to do battle with the Wildcats and came away with a 40-34 victory. Hundred had no one in double figures, however, they received balanced scoring from Trey Huggins with seven, Brayden Bartrug with six, Josiah Morgan added six points and Colt Sandy led the way with eight. The game was close throughout with Paden City coming out hot jumping to a 10-0 lead before the Hornets got untracked and closed within three by the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Hornets stingy defense hold the Wildcats to only three points and they led at halftime by the score of 28-23. The third quarter was deadlocked with each team scoring seven points. The Cats tried to come back in the fourth outscoring Hundred 10-4 but it was to little to late. Next up for Hundred is an away game with Heritage Christian on January 12.

Hundred Boys Fall to Heritage Christian in Overtime

Visiting Hundred was trying to make it two wins in a row on Thursday night, January 12, as they made the trip to Bridgeport to battle Heritage Christian. The game was tight from start to finish with the Hornets holding a three point lead in the fourth quarter before the home team tied it up to force overtime to get the 60-54 win.

Leading the charge for Hundred was Jeffery Morris with a team high 12 points, while Brayden Bartrug canned 10 markers. Josiah Morgan and Colt Sandy each added eight points, while Everett Johnson added five points and Tyler Sleeth canned four. Seth Michael and Trey Huggins each added two.

For the winners Baurer had a game high 22 points, while Young backed him up with 12, and Vaughn hit for eight and Cogar added six.

Hundred hit 25 shots from the floor and went 2-10 from the free throw line, while Heritage made 23 shots and used the free throw line to get the win going 10-15.
