Lady Knights Finish Third at Erickson Invitational

The 2026 Erickson Invitational track meet was held on May 1, at the Erickson All-Sports Facility in Parkersburg with 11 teams competing in the event and over 250 athletes. Magnolia and Tyler Consolidated both sent their teams to the event and received outstanding performances against some of the states top runners.

In the girls division Magnolia sophomore standout Bella Sockman continued her impressive season finishing third overall in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.90 just fraction of a second behind Josie Wray of Point Pleasant who ran a 12.69. Ripley’s Kyndyll Butler was second with a time of 12.82. Tyler’s Kathryn Grimm was right close behind finishing fifth at 13.35.

Sockman finished second in the 200 meter dash as she was nipped at the finish line by Wray of Point Pleasant. Sockman ran a 26.56 while Wray came in first with a 26.48. The Silver Knights Andi Fiber was fifth with a time of 28.53. Teammate Ayo Buerger was seventh with a 29.99. Buerger came in third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.88, and Fiber was fifth with a time of 1:06.87.

Lily Haught of Tyler Consolidated finished seventh in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:49.71.

In the 100 meter high hurdles Tyler’s Addison Blosser finished second with a time of 17.14, while the Knights Eliana Winfrey was seventh in the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 55.61.

The Silver Knights 4×100 meter relay team took top honors in the event with a time of 52.67 from a team of Winfrey, Fiber, Blosser, and Grimm. Magnolia came in sixth in a time of 56.50 from a team of Leah Hartline, Hallee Beisel, Jessa Anderson, and Sockman.

The Knights 4×200 meter relay team of Octavia Studenic, Ralynn Heintzman, Tiauna Mathis, and Katie Householder finished fifth in the event with a time of 2:01.94.

Magnolia’s 4×400 meter relay team came in fifth with a time of 5:11.01 from a team of Sydney Quinet, Nora Shackleford, Hailey Serwatka, and Annalise Goddaed.

The Blue Eagles 4×800 meter relay team finished fourth with a time of 12:20.54 from a team of Hailey Serwatka, Shackleford, Lindsey Barcus, and Goddard. Tyler Consolidated finished sixth in the event with a time of 13:20.91 from a team of Mya Fetty, Amber Ebert, Zoey Smith, and Lily Haught.

The Silver Knights came in fourth in the 102.5 shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 1:13.29 from a team of Householder, Imary Snider, Studenic, and Blosser. The Knights Grimm placed second in the high jump clearing the bar at 5-0.00. Buerger was third with a jump of 4-10.00.

The Silver Knights Ralynn Heintzman was third in the pole vault with a vault of 9-0.00.

Magnolia’s Jassa Anderson finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 13-09.25. In the shot put Tyler’s Ayo Buerger placed second with a heave of 34-04.00. In the discus throw the Knights Zoe Fisher got in on the scoring with a throw of 95-03 good for seventh place.

Parkersburg won the event with 166 points, followed by Williamstown with 100, Tyler Consolidated with 87, and Parkersburg South with 69. Ripley had 54, Point Pleasant 47, Wood County Christian 39, Magnolia 36, Ritchie County 33, Wahama 31, and Ravenswood 26.

In the boys division Parkersburg took first place with 146 points, followed by Ritchie County with 104, Point Pleasant with 77, Ripley with 74.50, Williamstown with 71, Tyler Consolidated with 63, Wahama with 57, Parkersburg South with 35, Magnolia with 29, and Wood County Christian with 19.50

In the 100 meter dash Tyler’s Maddox Corley came in seventh with a time of 11.70. The Knights Kayden Utt finished fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.55. The Knights Travis Moore came in sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.98.

In the 1600 meter run the Silver Knights all-state distance runner finished in the top spot with a meet record time of 4:17.27, while also breaking his own school record. Finishing second was Koa Navarro of Wood County with a 4:31.69. The Knights Travis Moore picked up a second place finish in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:09.44. Teammate Brody Nice was seventh in the event with a time of 10:47.11. Magnolia’s Riley Dennis ran a good race and finished third behind Moore with a time of 10:16.48.

In the 110 meter high hurdles Tyler’s Kellan Dalrymple came in eighth with a time of 20.23.

The Silver Knights 4×100 meter relay team took top honors in the event with a time of 46.91 from a team of Jacob Henderson, Jonathan Kelly, Maddox Corley, and Gideon Winfrey. The Knights finished fourth in the 4×200 meter relay team in a time of 1:38.37 from the same team.

Magnolia finished third in the 4×800 meter relay team with a time of 9:14.11 from a team of Cameron King, Parker Werkau, Manowah Vaughn, and Riley Dennis.

In the shuttle hurdle relay Magnolia finished fourth in a time of 1:12.04 from a team of Greg Moore, Ashton Skelley, Parker Werkau, and Kraytin Nice.

Tyler’s Bryce Nichols came in second in the high jump clearing the bar at 5-10.00. Silver Knight Gideon Winfrey won the long jump with a leap of 19-07.50. Magnolia’s Ashton Skelley was sixth with a jump of 17-05.50.

In the boys shot put Magnolia’s Anthony Lancaster placed sixth with a heave of 43-09.00. He also placed third in the discus with a throw of 138-06.
