Thomas “Tom” S. Haught

Thomas “Tom” S. Haught, 72, of Reader, WV, passed away on August 28, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 4, 1953, in New Martinsville, WV, the son of the late James and Onda South Haught.

Tom was a retired coalminer who enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Roxie Bucher, Wilda Williams and Doris (Susie) Haught, four brothers, Frank, Bob, Gordan and Dave Haught.

Surviving is his wife Betty, five children, James (Teresa) Haught, Michael (Louisa) Haught, Amy (Rick) Bassett, Beth Haught and Zach (Holly) Haught, thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren with two more on the way, a brother, Carl Haught, several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 12 PM until the time of the funeral at 1 PM at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV. Interment at the Milburn Cemetery, Reader, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at palmerfuneral.com.
