Dietrich, Naomi Beatrice Henthorne

Dietrich, Naomi Beatrice Henthorne, 92, of Clarington, went to her heavenly home on September 24, 2008, at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield.

She was born March 9, 1916, in Clarington, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Daisy Dade Hammond Henthorne.

She was a retired secretary of PPG Natrium Plant; a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Powhatan Point; AARP; NSA (National Secretary’s Association); a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity; Wetzel Co. Hospital Auxiliary; S.O.M.A.; and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Penny” Dietrich; and two brothers, Earl and Herbert Henthorne.

Survivors include three sons, Ray (Julie) Dietrich of Hernando, Miss., Dale (Sandra) Dietrich of New Matamoras, and Dennis Dietrich of Sardis; two daughters, Dixie (Kenneth) Fuchs of Hannibal and Karol (Dan) Forner of Corbett, Ore.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family received friends on Sept. 28 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 51736 German Ridge Road, Powhatan Point, with Pastor Carla Wobschall officiating.

Interment in St. John’s Church Cemetery.
