New Martinsville Parks and Recreation Plans Easter Egg Hunt

By Staff | Apr 2, 2021

The New Martinsville Parks and Recreation Annual Easter Egg (Scavenger) Hunt, for children ages 12 and under, will be held on Saturday, April 3 from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. (or while supplies last).

The hunt, co-sponsored by Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union and Blue Racer Midstream, will be held as a drive-up event this year. Participants will use clues to help them navigate to the seven different locations where the candy filled eggs will be handed out. All locations to be visited are owned and operated by the City of New Martinsville Parks and Recreation Department.

The clue maps can be obtained by visiting the following businesses throughout New Martinsville: Quinet’s Court Restaurant, Creighton Sports Center, S&S Jewelry, Barth’s Florist, Go Mart, Farmhouse Treasures, The Cellar Door, Barista’s Cafe, The Book Store, Ruttenberg’s, Prodigy Wellness Center, Mayo’s Exxon, New Martinsville 7-11 store, and Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union-New Martinsville Branch.

Clue maps are also available at New Martinsville City Hall. Participants will be able to be driven up to the location to collect the eggs from the volunteers. Children may visit any number or all seven sites.

In the event that a clue can not be solved, the answers are located on a map on the back of the clue sheet.

The Easter Bunny, joined by members of the New Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, will be at one of the locations for photo opportunities.
