Ervin “Irv” William Billiter

Ervin “Irv” William Billiter, 87, of Paden City, WV died peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Irv was born March 30, 1939 at his home on Buck Run, son of the late Sherman L. and Emma M. (Stewart) Billiter.

He was a retired glassworker, having worked for Fostoria and Viking Glass. Irv liked helping people, shopping, going to County Music Shows, working puzzles and playing cards and watching car racing. He was a former deck hand on the Sistersville Ferry and a Methodist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven siblings, Fred Billiter, Robert Lee Billiter, Lawrence Billiter, Harold Billiter, Richard Billiter, C. Odell Billiter, Audre Vance, Leona Hill, Lavine Greathouse, Marjorie Fagert, Gladys Billiter and the best dog ever, Ben.

Surviving is a special friend, Linda Adams of Middlebourne, WV; three children, Shelia Billiter, Rodney Billiter and Eric Billiter; brother, Daniel “Danny” (Joan) Billiter of Paden City, WV; sister, L. Pauline Billiter of Paden City, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 7, 2026 with Earl Butcher officiating. Burial in the Kendle Cemetery near Paden City, WV.
