Donald “Farmer” Keith Dy

Donald “Farmer” Keith Dye, 90, of Pine Grove, WV left this world on Sunday, March 15, 2026 while at his home with his family by his side.

Farmer was born November 26, 1935, in Mannington, WV son of the late Huey Wayne and Enda J. (Schrader) Dye.

He was a retired truck driver for Chemical Leman, a former Chief of Police for the town of Mannington, loved working with horses, a carpenter, drove over a million miles as a trucker and was baptized as a Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Francis “Jim” Dye, William “Pete” Dye, infant brother Tommy Dye, Betty Fail Stetz, Carolyn “Katie” Burnsworth and son-in-law, John Hurst.

Surviving is his wife of twenty-five years, Doris Carpenter-Dye; children, William “Bill” (Lisa) Dye of ,Meridian ID, Jim Dye of Mannington, WV and Diana Dye of Fairmont, WV, Meaghan Bedel of Idaho City, ID, Taryn Mansera of Idaho City, ID and Krystal Daubensper of Wheeling, WV; step-daughter, Sandi Hurst of Pine Grove, WV; grandchildren, Amber Miller, William Miller, Cabela Steel, Remmington Steel and Cash Mansera all of Idaho City, ID ; step-grandson, Justin Herrick of Pine Grove, WV; brother, Robert “Bob” (Linda) Dye of Wadestown and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received noon until time of service at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Highway, Pine Grove, WV with burial to follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
