NEW MARTINSVILLE — As the opening event to the 2024 RegattaFest activities, the annual pageant crowned their royal court at the Lincoln Theater in downtown New Martinsville on Saturday, Aug. 30. Director Asia Rosenlieb gave the thirty-five contestants, from Baby Miss to Mrs. categories a fun-filled day of glitz and glamour to find the perfect representatives for the thirteenth annual festival.

The anticipated event of the evening arrived as Averie Goshert, the reigning queen, graciously gave her title to Ally Vintorini in a bittersweet moment filled with tears and laughter. Marisa Carroll, the 2023 Mrs. RegattaFest, was on hand to crown the new RegattaFest Teen, Madilyn Harrison, Sissonville, West Virginia, and Mrs., Julie Mace, Washington, West Virginia. Ally, from Ravenswood, West Virginia, is looking forward to being a part of RegattaFest and admitted that her favorite thing about West Virginia is “the amazing recreational opportunities available in the mountain state.” Julie said that one of the best things about West Virginia is the ability to “experience all four seasons and the beauty that comes with each one,” and Madilyn echoed the sentiments of both women by adding the fact that “community traditions, like RegattaFest” are wonderful fun.

Earlier in the day, the following were named part of the 2024 royal court: Baby Miss Baylor Mae Strope, Cameron, Wee Miss Amara Matthews, New Martinsville, Toddler Miss Parker Patrello, Moundsville, Tiny Miss Kinsley Workman, Morgantown, Little Miss Lily Kate McCoy, Parkersburg, and Junior Miss Ava Goddard, Proctor.
