Eagles Trey Satow Shuts Out Hosts Pilots
Freshman Trey Satow threw a complete game shutout over River on Thursday evening in Hannibal, leading Magnolia to a 5-0 victory.
Satow scattered three hits, walked one, and struck out five, while throwing 86 pitches with 56 being strikes.
The Eagles got on the board in the top of the sixth inning after Finn Loy laid down a sacrifice bunt, to bring a runner home. Ian Hedrick then singled, scoring two runs, and a balk by the pitcher scored Kyrian Starkey to put the Eagles up 4-0.
Ian Hedrick led the Eagles with two runs batted in going 2-for-3 and Liam Day went 2-3 with an RBI.
Magnolia improved their record to (9-7) on the season.
Maverick Marty took the loss for the Pilots going seven innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out 11 and walking two.
Marty, Gauge Bayes, and Wyatt Stalder each collected one hit for River. The loss dropped the Pilots to (9-4) on the season.
