Visiting River rode the arm of senior pitcher Kaden Hunt on Monday, March 30, to claim a 5-3 victory over homesteading Shadyside at Fleming Field.

Hunt was on his game as he set down 11 Tiger batters on strikes, while walking four, and allowing just five hits.

The Pilots received a single and a double from senior Easton Huntsman to drive in a run. Cam Abbott drove in a run with a single, while Cooper Roberts and Ty Nething both had RBI singles.

For the home team Tigers, Jacob Allen knocked in a run with three singles, while Ryan Collins singled and Damian Russell doubled.

The Pilots took the early lead 2-0, before the Tigers came back to tie the game 2-2. River added three more runs in the fifth and Shadyside plated one in the bottom of the sixth to round out the scoring.

The Pilots moved to 2-0 with the win, while moves to 1-2.
