The Lady Pilot scored twice in the top of the second when Alycia Bayes singled, Ja’Chelle Hill singled, both batters advanced on a passed ball, then Bentleigh Enix drilled a shot to left that was misplayed for an error, scoring both Bayes and Hill.

Wohnhas kept the Tigers caged up until the bottom of the seventh when Abby Miller got a bloop single to left center and short. She then advanced on a wild pitch, stole third and scored on a throwing area. Wohnhas then closed it out for the win.

Carly Winkler, Wohnhas, Hill and Bayes all had singles for the Pilots.

Marietta’s Miller took the loss on the mound, going the distance striking out nine and giving up four hits, two runs.

River improved to 3-0 with the win while Marietta dropped to 2-2.

Wohnhas has recorded 47 strikeouts in her first three games and given up just four hits.
