Long Drain School Football on a roll
Look out in a couple years, Long Drain Middle school is preparing to turn Hundred into a football powerhouse.
The Middle School Hornets have some sting in their arsenal and opposing teams are feeling it.
In their last two games they have picked up wins over Bridgeport, Ohio 14-0 and Clay Battelle 48-0 to make them 5-0 on the season.
Against the Bulldogs from Ohio, the Hornets showed no mercy as they held the visitors to 11 total yards while picking up 232 on the night with Parsons scoring on a 54 yard run and Michael getting a 14 yarder.
On October 1, the Hornets sent the visiting Cee Bees home on the short end of a 48-0 rout with K. Parson accounting for three touchdowns and a two point conversion run, plus two extra point kicks.
Parson was the games leading ground gainer picking up 106 yards on just 4 attempts. He scored on a 25 yard run up the middle, a 65 yard run and a 14 yarder.
T. Michael scored on a kickoff return to open the scoring he also had a two point conversion run. The Hornets put 22 points on the board in the first quarter to put the game out of reach and then added 13 more in the second for a 35-0 halftime lead.
They punched in two more scores in the second half to end the scoring. T. Sleeth had a TD run of 35 yards in the first quarter as he out ran the Cee Bees while breaking two tackles on the way.
In the third period T. Huggins added six with a 20 yard TD reception from QB T. Michael.
The Hornets have several nice eighth graders on this team who will provide immediate help next season for the young Hornets varsity squad.
