NMJBS Inc., Holds End of Year Celebration
The New Martinsville Junior Baseball/Softball League on June 19, 2021 at the Nathan Hassig Sports Complex held a huge celebration for the teams that participated in the league. It was nice to see all the surrounding area teams attending and enjoying themselves. Although rivals on the field, they all were hanging out together and enjoying the festivities. Lots of new friendships will be made.
Activities included Concessions, Bubble Wagon, Kona Ice, Police and Fire Vehicles, Home Run Derby, Inflatables, dunking machine to get the coaches wet, and ended with a movie, Sandlot in the outfield with free popcorn.
There was free admission to the event and the public was invited.
President of the NMJBS League Josh Loy said, “we wanted to do something special for our teams that participated in our league. Since it is our first year at the new Nathan Hassig Sports Complex, we thought that we should make it special for all the youngsters that participated in our league and their families to enjoy.
Special thanks to everyone involved that helped make this season a huge success. We want to continue to grow and give all the kids in our community and surrounding communities the best opportunity to learn the game, have fun, and to make new friendships.”
