Tyler Overpowers Wildcats

Visiting Tyler Consolidated wasted no time on Friday night in Paden City as they jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on their way to a mercy rule five inning 11-1 win over the Wildcats.

In the top of the first the Knights got an opening batter triple from Braden Wall who then scored along with Audrey Dennis on a triple by Briann Templeton two batter later.

Paden City picked up a run in the bottom of the first when McKenzie Thomas tripled with two out and then scored on a triple by Mady Kline before the inning ended.

That was all the scoring the Cats could produce however, while the Silver Knights added three runs in the second, four in the third, and two in the fifth to end the game.

Spencer picked up the win for the Knights while Michaels suffered the loss for the Wildcats. The Silver Knights had 10 hits in the game while Paden City ended the contest with five hits.

Wildcats Drops Close

One To Beallsville

Paden City fell behind 5-0 in the first inning to visiting Beallsville on Wednesday April 28, in girls softball action, but came back after two inning to tie the game 5-5.

However, the Blue Devils got the win with a big seventh inning to take home a 14-11 victory.

The Cats took a nice lead heading into the sixth after scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth, for a 10-8 lead, but the visitors got a run in the sixth and four more in the top of the seventh to lead 14-10.

Paden City posed a threat early in the bottom of the inning scoring a run, but left three runners stranded to end the inning.

Erin McIntrye led the Cats with a home run and three singles, driving in four runs on the night. Raven Fulks also came up big at the plate with a pair of doubles for 3 RBI. Ava Gallo added two singles, while McKenzie Thomas and Carlee Sweeney each got a single.
