Hundred entertained Clay Battelle on April 26, and handed the visitors a 4-3 loss behind a strong effort from pitcher Christian Fluharty who tossed a 3-hitter, while striking out 14 batters and walking only two. Fluharty used a combination of fast balls and a nice curve to keep the Cee Bee’s off balance as he gave up only one earned run, with the other two coming on errors.

The Hornets fell behind 2-0 after the visitors scored in the top of the second and third. However, Hundred came back in the bottom of the third to plate four runs which proved to be all they needed to get the win. Fluharty helped his own cause as he went 2-3 with a single and a double. Everett Johnson added two RBI with a single and a double.

In the bottom of the third Shreve got hit by a pitch and scored followed by singles from Gauge Boston and Johnson, the Hornets plated three more runs in the inning with a single from Merrill and two Cee Bee errors. The win pushed Hundred to 3-1 on the season with several upcoming games on the horizon.
