Magnolia Falls to John Marshall
In a battle of father and son John Marshall coach Mark Cisar came out on top as his club came to town and picked up a 16-1 mercy rule win over coach Dave Cisar and the Magnolia Blue Eagles.
The visiting Monarchs didn’t make for very good company as they took an early first inning lead 3-0 and built on it over the next three innings to rout the Eagles. Jacob Korngiver got the win for John Marshall striking out seven batters in the five inning game and walking only two. Brenden Mirandy worked the mound for Magnolia and took the loss. The Blue Eagles used four pitchers in the contest with Mirandy working the first two innings getting two K’s before giving way to Eli Miller in the third. Caden Cisar worked the fourth and Silas NcKeever worked the fifth and recorded two strikeouts.
The Monarchs had 16 hits in the game while Magnolia could onlyget two. Joel Wise went 3-4 in the game with two singles and a double knocking in four runs to lead the visitors.
