The Knights also had one fifth place alternate finish with Case Landis at 195 pounds.

Quoting TCHS Head Coach Paden Morris, “I’m very pleased with our showing this weekend at the regional tournament. As always this group of young wrestlers went out there and competed hard. Effort is never in question when they hit the mats. Several of our wrestlers achieved a goal this weekend, a couple came up short, but it was evident that these goals truly mean something to them.” Coach Morris went on to say, “Fortunately we have four guys that now have a chance to be a state place winner. For those whose season ended this weekend they will take this experience and grow from it and hopefully be even more motivated this offseason and coming into next season. This team has a bright future but most importantly they realize the hard work and commitment it will take to fulfill the goals we have. The work for those goals and the goals of our state qualifiers start Monday. I know these guys are excited to go to Huntington and compete for a place on the podium, and we look forward for the opportunity.”
