Valley Falls to St. Marys

The Limberjills made the trip down to St. Marys on Monday night, April 5, for a match up with the states number three ranked Class AA team.

The 14-3 Blue Devils waisted no time in showing their dominance as they took a commanding lead 25-3 halftime lead on their way to a 69-18 victory.

The visitors were held to two points in the first period and just one in the secondand never recovered as the Blue Devils defense smothered them all night. Rachel Bated with six points was tops for Valley, while Cheyanna Moore hit for five and Kim Soles added four. Winter Higgins finished the Lumberjill scoring with three markers.

For St. Marys Zoe Davis had the hot hand with a game high 19 points. She was backed by Josey Moore with 12, and Kylie Wright with 10.

Caraline Lancasrer pitched in with nine points as well. The home team hit 30 field goals including three 3-pointers and connected on 4-5 from the free throw line.

Valley managed only four field goals all night, but made 10-27 from the line.
