Athlete of the Week, Joel Moore

The Wetzel Chronicle Athlete of the Week for April 7, 2021 is Paden City sophomore guard Joel Moore. Moore a slick ball handling hard nose player can flat out play.

He is one of the best shots in the county and his stop and go moves make him a tough match uop for any defender.

Moore has had a few 20 plus games on the season and hit for 36 in a recent outing.

Last week he hit for 23 against a good Weirton Madonna team and came back against number 10 ranked Cameron with 28 points.

In those to contests he knocked down seven 3’s and went 10-14 from the free throw line. He also had a combined seven steals and nine rebounds.

Moore is usually pitted against the oppositions best defender, but still manages to get his numbers. He is a solid defender as well. Congratulations to Joel.
