Trinity, St. John Gets Best of Hundred

The Morgantown Trinity Warriors (25-13, 25-9) and St John Irish (21-25, 25-16 and 25-18) took care of Hundred inside the Hornets Nest.

Against Trinity, the Hornets was buzzing, as they stung the Lady Irish in the opening set, 21-25, but faded in the final two sets 25-16 and 25-18. Casey Henderson served up a career-high 22-points with one ace, while bumping up 18-digs and setting up 3-assists, and blasting 1-kill to lead the Lady Hornets.

Kayla Matthews also had a good night scoring 9-points with three serves aces, and collecting 14-digs. She also passed out 5-assists, blocked three shots and smacked 2-kills. Rachel Snedden provided 8-service points, made 10-digs and passed out a pair of assists, while teammate Leah Delaney tallied 7-points, 20-digs and had 6-kills.

In addition, Janna Huggings provided 7-points, 6-kills and bumped up a team-high 20 digs, while Roxie Huggins stuffed the stat sheet with 5-points with 2-aces, 4-digs, 2-assists, 2-kills and blocked a shot. Kayley Davis made 11-digs for all the stats against St John.

In the 2-set loss to Trinity, Henderson and Snedden each served up 6-points, with Henderson getting 2-aces and 11-digs, while Snedden collected 4-digs and 1-block to pace the Lady Hornets.

Matthews and Delaney each recorded 3-points, 7-digs, 1-assist and 1-kill, while Janna Huggins had 6-digs, 2-kills and just as many points.

Roxie Huggins also had 2-points, while dishing out 2-assists and collected 1-dig. Davis made 10-digs for all the Hornets statistics.
