Pilant Shoots Her Way Into MHS History
When it comes to high school girls sports at Magnolia, some great names come to mind. However one name that stands out among all players is current senior Kyndra Pilant, who just this past Saturday, became the schools all-time scoring leader in girls basketball with 1,367 points to surpass Gracie Bersiford who held the record with 1,365.
Last season Pilant went over the 1,000 point mark and pulled down her 1,000th rebound despite being in her junior year. That’s not all however, she helped lead the Magnolia volleyball team to the 2018 state championship her junior season while knocking down nearly 2,000 career kills.
Kyndra does it all for the Blue Eagles and has set a standard in basketball that should last for years to come. With just about half a season still to play, she may move the mark to unreachable heights. Everytime she takes the floor it’s worth the price of admission just to get an opportunity to watch her as she moves up and down the court at a fast pace always looking to make a big play to help the Blue Eagles to another victory.
Congratulations to Kyndra Pilant another one of Magnolia’s long line of top niotch athletes.
