In the fourth the Eagles finally got the scoring advantage 13-12 as Postletwait had five while Turner and Gamble both had three and Scheibelhood had two.

“It was a great test for us at the right time. We had won four in a row,” Magnolia Coach Dave Tallman Said. “They were four tough games, and everyone knows ( Williamstown) has a great team. We know how hard their players have worked individually to get to where they are. It’s a great model for us, so what we’ve got to do is watch the film, show them the right way to play and try to get better offensively. I thought our defense was good, but we got outrebounded. We’ve got a lot of work to do.”

Stats on the night for Magnolia had the Blue Eagles Q.Turner as the only player to reach doble figures as he recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to go along with two assists and 1 block. Postletwait had nine to go along with three rebounds one assists and one block. Gamble had seven to go along with five rebounds and one block. Scheibelhood had six to go along with a pair of rebounds and Glover had two.

The biggest story of the night was Wiliamstown knocking down 13 threes compaired to the Eagles two. The Eagles also turned the ball over 12 times compaired to the Jackets just five. The Jackets outrebounded the Eagles 39-25 which included 15 offensive rebounds. The Jackets shot 41 percent from the field while the Eagles could only manage 33 percent. From beyond the three point line the Jackets shot 38% while the Eagles shot 13%. With the loss the Eagles fall to 4-1. They are now idle till December 30th, when they play Tyler Consolidated, which is scheduled for a boys and girls double header matchup at Magnolia. The Girls will play at 6 p.m. followed 20 minutes later by the boys varsity.
