Pilots Pounce On Wildcats, Win 61-37
The River Pilots got a game high 25 points Stone Thompson as he connected on five 3-points shots to lead River to a 61-37 voctory over Paden City on Saturday on the Cats home floor. He recevived spport from teammate Ty Long who hit double figures with 10 markers.
Longwell and Lallathin each hit for seven points, while Potts got four and Hunter and Lawarnce each added three points. River took a 22-9 lead in the first quarter and streched it to 38-16 at the halfway point to lift them to the win.
Paden City played got a team high 12 points from senior Walter Joy which included two 3-pointers and 10 points from Ty Cain. Joel Moore kicked in eight, Jason Anderson hit two baskets and Carson Palmer added a three pointer. River hit 6-7 3-pointers on the night while Paden City made all four of their attempts.

River hosted Shadyside on Friday night December 20, in boys basketball with the Tigers getting a hard fought 55-41 win over the Pilots. Shadyside got 15 points, 14 points, and 13 points from three players to account for enough points to win the game.
The Pilots however had the games leading scorer with freshman Ty Long knocking home 21 points and freshman teammate Brody Lallathin scoring 11. The Pilots hit 9-15 free throws but Shadyside outscored the Pilots by canning seven three pointers and to Rivers two.
