Stone Scores 33 Against ’Rocks
River Pilot Stone Thompson had a career night on Tuesday, December 3, scoring 33 points, including seven baskets from beyond the arc, but it wasn’t enough as the Barnesville Shamrocks outscored the Pilots, 85-77, to get the win in Barnesville.
Brody Lollathin followed with 15 points, while Ty Long penciled in 11 points. Michael Johnson tallied 8 points, while Colton Lawrence netted five points, including one from down-town. Austin Creamer sank a triple, while Brody Longwell connected on 2-of-2 from the free-throw line for all the River scoring.
Luke Powell scored a game-high 46-points, including five from beyond the arch, while Jeremy Hankler scored 11-points to pace the Shamrocks.
After a home game Dec. 10 against Magnolia, the Pilots will travel up the road to Steubenville to take on the Steubenville Crusaders of Steubenville Catholic with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
