Eagles Pilant Headed to Hoop at Concord

Magnolia senior Kyndra Pilant has signed her letter of intent to further her academic and athletic career at Concord University to play basketball and major in Exercise Science.

Kyndra’s career stats in her first three seasons at Magnolia High School are 1,102-rebounds, 1,032-points, 250-assists, 215-blocked shots and 118-steals.

Kyndra and former Magnolia ball player Ashlea Bland, are the only two MHS female basketball players to have over 1,000 points and rebounds in a career. Kyndra has this season to add to her totals.

Some of her highlights in basketball are the 25-points she scored against Linsly. She also holds the school record of 29-rebounds she hauled in against Wheeling Central, last season.

Her honors include first team in 1A, All OVAC and All Valley. She played for the Mid OhioValley Dragons and Coach Chad King the past two seasons in AAU Basketball, and played in tournaments in Washington DC, Indianapolis, Columbus, St Louis and Washington, PA.

She was a member of the 2018 WVSSAC Class-A Volleyball State Championship team. Kyndra was later named captain of the All-State and All-Valley Volleyball Team, and was selected as OVAC Player of the Year.

She also has been a participant in both the shot put and discus at the state track meet in Charleston.

Her academic achievements include All OVAC Conference Academic winner, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society and Principal List. She is a member of the Sources of Strength, a Peer Leader and Peer Tutor.
