Wildcats’ Cross’ 300-Yard Effort Earns Honor

Paden City’s Ethan Cross accounted for 300-plus yards of offense as the Wildcats got victory number one with a win against Bridgeport.

The Wetzel Chronicle Athlete of the week is Paden City Wildcat Ethan Cross who led the team to their first victory of the season a 55-49 win over Bridgeport, Ohio.

Cross went wild against the Bulldogs as he accounted for over 300 yards of total offense and five touchdowns. He ran 18 times for 184 yards and a touchdown while completing 7-9 scoring strikes for 116 yards and four T.D.’s.

Cross is a senior quarterback who didn’t play football last year, but came out this season and worked hard while using his natural athletic talent go to work.

He is a team leader who will continue to impress as the season goes forward. Congratulations to Ethan Cross.
