Carter Dennis
Michael Johnson
Alex Parker

There were quite a few area athletes that gave outstanding performances last week in Mallory Yeater, Alex Parker of Magnolia, and Carter Dennis and Michael Johnson of River. Yeater had a good night against Beallsville. She not only recorded her 1,000 career assist in this match, but she paced the Lady Wildcats with 19-points, with 5-aces, 29-assists, 9-kills and 6-digs

Dennis should have been one of the winner last week, but got his stats messed up with someone else, so he gets the nod. He paced the Pilots in their loss to Southern Local with 103-yards rushing and a touchdown, while adding 12-yards receiving on two snatches. He also topped last week off with another 100-yard game and 2-TDs in their win over Monroe Central. He also had 9-tackles and a sack, and a interception.

Johnson rushed for 208-yards and 2-touchdowns in their win over Monroe Central. He did this, in just two and a quarter periods.

Parker gets the nod this week, as he was the co-medalist along with Trey Blain (winner of the first weeks Athlete of the Week and runner-up medalist in the OVAC) in their match at Sistersville against Tyler Consolidated and Frontier with a 37.

Only high schools from Hundred, Magnolia, Paden City, River and Valley can win the Athlete of the Week, and can only win once, except during a tournament or the playoffs.
