Magnolia girls tennis Coach Jesse Robinson is excited for the 2018 campaign. With both of the Blue Eagles’ courts resurfaced, home matches will not be a problem, and with four three-year letter-winners in the mix, neither will experience. “While we only have two tennis courts, they have been resurfaced and are ready to go for our season,” Robinson said. “This is our third season playing, and most of our players are returning.
“I hold high expectations for this season, and even though our season started a week later than expected, the girls are working very hard. We also had a little bit of a delay with three girls in the state basketball tournament.”
Leading the way will be senior No. 1 seed Logan Riggs, at both singles and doubles, along with juniors Bethany Brown, No. 2 at both, Whitney Yoho, No. 3 at both and Ashley Demarco, No. 4 at both. All four are three-year lettermen.
A trio of juniors bring two years of experience each in Clara Moore, Lara Smith and Raegan Hale. The remainder of the roster will consist of senior Emily Rine; sophomores Ashley Kelly, Nisha Patel and Kiley Hostetler and freshmen Ella Heddleson, Jada Dennis, Emma Richmond and Diana Hernandez.
