Spotlight On ’Jacks Senior Duo

This week, the Wetzel Chronicle will shine its Sports Spotlight on Valley Lumberjack seniors Ethan Greathouse and Caden Palmer, a pair of outstanding senior baseball players.
This looks to be Greathouse’s year to shine. He has been a focal point as a pitcher and shortstop the last several seasons and is ready to come-to-the-top this season in baseball. He wasn’t bad at the plate either, hitting for .300 on the season.
He was asked to give a quote and he said, “It’s not how big you are, it’s how big you play.”
Palmer has been a pleasant surprise to start the season for the Valley, and will be counted to supply the bulk of the Lumberjacks’ power at the plate.
We asked Ethan and Caden a few questions about themselves so others can identify them on the field, as well as off: here are the questions and answers, respectively:

CADEN PALMER
What do you want people to know about you, that most people didn’t know? Caden: I hate feet.
What is your favorite TV show?
Ethan: Family Guy
Caden: That 70’s Show.
What is your favorite book, and who do you think you think you look like, or who looks like you?
Caden: The Maze Runner
Ethan: Doug Center Martin
If you could go back in time who would you want to hang out with?
Ethan: Jackie Robinson
Caden: Babe Ruth
If you could have one person be able to sing the National Anthem, who would you choose?
Caden: Beyonce
Ethan: Drake.
In the same scale, what would you rate yourself as a dancer, and what song would you dance to?
Ethan: An 8, Let’s Groove;
Caden:A 10, Yeah, by Usher.
What is your favorite thing to do when you get ready for a game?
Caden: Put on eye-black
Ethan: Clear my mind and focus strictly on baseball.
With one year left, what is there left to accomplish in sports?
Caden: A winning season
Ethan: I want to make it to the OVAC All-Star game and get at least an Honorable-Mention.
What do you like to do when your not playing sports?
Ethan and Caden both said, they like playing video games.
