Magnolia Blue Eagles freshman phenom Mady Winters scored half of the Blue Eagles’ 50 points on Jan. 15. This was en-route to Magnolia’s come-from-behind 50-44 victory in Woodsfield.

After falling behind, 31-27, entering the fourth quarter, the Magnolia Blue Eagles outscored the Lady Seminoles, 23-13, to get the hard-fought victory.

Winters compiled a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. First-year junior Kennedy Parsons followed with 13-points that included four baskets from beyond the arch.

In addition, Kyndra Pilant and Logan Riggs each tacked on five points. Pilant added 12 rebounds, five steals, four assists and seven blocked shots. Riggs produced a team-high six assists. Sierra Walker finished the Eagles’ scoring as she tallied a deuce.

The Blue Eagles will take on county rival Valley at home on Jan. 27, 1:15 p.m. The Lady Eagles will end the month at Paden City on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. for a two-quarter junior varsity contest, with the varsity to follow 20 minutes later.
