Magnolia’s Brooks Parsons headlines the WVSSAC Class A All-State selections, earning a first-team berth as a wide receiver on offense.
Parsons paced the Big Blue with 189-yards rushing and scored two touchdowns in his final game as a Blue Eagle in the 42-26 victory over Moorefield. He also grabbed one pass for five yards, that gave him 476 yards rushing and 839 yards receiving, with seven touchdown passes in his final season.
In his career, he caught 119 passes for 2,113 yards and 17 touchdowns. On the ground he finished with 901 yards and nine touchdowns, while running back four special teams touchdowns.
Also earning first team selection (utility) was the Silver Knights Mark Rucker, while teammate Griffin Phillips earned second team offense (utility).
Earning second team defense from Magnolia was sophomore Jared Barrows, while brother Jakob Barrows earned Special Honorable Mention, along with teammate Hunter Partridge, the Wildcats’ Mike Shreves and the Lumberjacks’ Levi Streets.Earning Honorble Mention were the Lumberjacks’ Tyler Kocher and Austin Lowe.
