To open the 2017-2018 high school sports season’s “Athlete Of The Week,” special, Magnolia sophomore golfer Trey Blain wins the first of the fall season.

Blain recorded a 41 on Aug. 2 at Morgantown’s Mountain View Golf Course. He went on to have the lowest score of the day in a match with the likes of University and Morgantown High.

Blain again played well on Aug. 3. He was the runner-up medalist at the Pines with a solid score of 76.

In his next match at Bec-wood, Trey shot a sizzling one under par with a 35 to earn medalist honors once more.
