Hizer Named OVAC Class-A Player Of The Year

Paden City Wildcat Hayden Hizer was honored at the West Virginia vs Ohio All-Stars with the OVAC 1A Player of the Year Award during the game.

Hizer had a great season as he hit .410 in 26 games. In 78 at bats, he scored 42 runs, with 35 hits and knocking in 34 runs. He belted five doubles, six triples and blasted four home-runs.

From the mound, Hizer won four and lost three in 12 games. He gave up only 15 earned runs, with 50 strikeouts and 21 walks.

He helped Paden City win 17 games and the OVAC 1A regular season championship. The Wildcats came in second in the OVAC 1A tournament.

Hizer will take his talents to the next level, heading to Ohio Valley University in Parkersburg.
