Wildcats Trip-Up Dragons, 18-6

Kolton Elliott hit a grand slam home run and Hayden Hizer added a three-run shot, and an additional RBI, as Paden City hammered Cameron, 18-6 in baseball action April 10 in Cameron.

Trey Slider kept the Dragon batters at bay, striking out six and walking two, getting the win, while Matt Saxson struck-out two and walked none in relief.


Paden City 2, Frontier 1

Aaron Heasley struck-out eight and walked one, while limiting the Frontier Cougars to three hits, to lead the Wildcats to a masterful 2-1 victory, April 8 at Paden City Park.

Kolton Elliott was the man once more as he paced the Wildcats four-hits, one of the hits being a single, scoring two runs in the fifth inning.


Paden City 7, Magnolia 5

Hayden Hizer used a 11-strike-out performance from the mound, and belted an RBI single to lead Paden City to a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over county rival Magnolia, April 8 at Paden City Park.

Magnolia raced out to a 4-0 lead after three innings of play, only to see Paden City score three runs in the bottom of the third, and tacked on four more in the fifth in the Wildcats win over Magnolia.

Leading the Wildcats offense were Billy Nice, who had two singles and a RBI, Dalton Pritchard recorded an RBI single, and Drew Herrick knocked in a pair off on a pair of base-hits. Clayton Thomas pitched in with an RBI double, while Trey Slider and Hizer each sent home a run with singles. Marcus Allen plated two with a single, while Brad Baker and Jake Pierce each drilled singles.

Jake Gamble and Austin Klug each drilled a single for all the Magnolia hits.

Patrick Mirandy struck-out eight Wildcat batters, but walked eight and hit two batters, took the loss from the mound. Leo Herrick tossed two innings, struck-out one and didn’t walk a batter.

Matt Saxson pitched the last two innings, getting the save. He struck-out three and walked two.
