By Staff | Dec 21, 2016

The South Harrison Hawks raced out to a 33-12 first half lead and held on for a 52-40 victory, snapping the Jacks’ two game-winning streak to start the season Dec. 13 in Pine Grove.

After falling behind 14-2 in the opening period, and 33-12 at the break, Valley out-scored South Harrison 13-2 in the third period. However, it was too much to overcome without the services of their leading scorer Dylan Irvin, missing because of a severe cold.

Alex Midcap paced the Lumberjack attack with 15 points, that included a triple, while collecting a game-high 17 rebounds. Levi Streets scored 11 points, that included a pair of long range bonus bombs. Peyton Bassett followed with eight points, while Austin Lowe added four markers, and Ethan Greathouse a two-point shot.
