Knights, Eagles Win Jim Winters Tournament

After losing a game in pool play, the team of Matt Wright, Dylan Reynolds and Cameron Lancaster fought back to win their pool. They then defeated four straight in tournament play, beating the “We are Not Going To Rio” team of Colt Street, Ben Bridgeman and Carole Harris in the championship.

In the girls bracket, there were only three teams that entered, with the team called the “Fantastic Four” of Autumn Cecil, Jordan Delaney, Kristin Massey and Cami Clegg defeating Mallory Chapman, Tristin Toman, Allison Wable and Amanda Reynolds to win the girls division. The three point shot was won by Dylan Romine.

There were 115 players participating in the inaugural Jim Winters 3-on-3 basketball tournament. There were many, many people helping along with the entire Winters family, friends and relatives, including MHS coaches Dave Tallman, Doc Chapman, Mark Blair and Tom Tisher.
