The Eagles have 10 seniors to help lead the girls track team, including the 800-meter state champion Bri Ritz, and state qualifiers Cedar Sands, Mandi Theodoro (fourth in pole vault) and Sofia Herrick.

Not to be outdone, they also have Ariel Hostuttler, Rachel Arbogast, Emily McIIvain, Annie Miller, Summer Timbs and Courtney Slider returning to give the Big Blue a powerful group of seniors that looks to make some noise this season.

Besides the 10 seniors, the Eagles have quite a few weapons returning, including 1,600 meter state champion Jordan Delaney, Bailey Estep (third in the high jump), that will be able to compete at a high level in a multitude of events.

Also returning are letter-winners and state qualifiers Kristen Massey and Alayna Cline, Anna Zills, Zoa Duke, plus newcommer Autumn Cecil.

The Blue Eagles only have one sophomore in Michelle Morris, but will bring on board six quality freshmen, including cross country runners Bre Barbera and Gabby Cecil. They will also have soccer standout Cameron Melott, Kennedy Parsons, Monia Lewis and Monica Lewis to fill out the squad.

MHS graduates Kierra Standiford and Katie Ensinger will be missed, not only for their running ability, but for their enthusiasm and leadership. Not only did they lose these two girls, they also lost their head coach, Steve Ross, who is taking a year off. But John Daughtery is back as is cross country had coach Mike Harwick.

Because of poor sound system and insufficient lighting and seating for spectators, Magnolia will not have home meets again this season. Fans will need to travel again to Tyler Consolidated for their Wetzel/Tyler Track League meets.
