Valley Crushes Park. Catholic

The Valley Lumberjacks improved to 4-1 as their defense limited Parkersburg Catholic to 11 yards rushing on 30 carries en route to a 34-8 victory Friday night.

The ‘Jacks Trey Streets accounted for 119 yards rushing and a TD, while connecting on 4-of-6 passes for an additional 119 yards and three more touchdowns.

Matthew Throckmorton picked up 77 yards rushing on 16 carries while Tyler Kocher picked up 40 yards on five totes. Travis Leek accounted for nine yards, while Bodie Sycoc netted right yards on a

pair of carries.

Tucker Cain accounted for 66 yards and a score on only two grabs, while Kocher hauled in one pass for 20 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Irvin hauled in his first touchdown of the season on a 45 yard bomb, while Alex Midcap and Peyton Bassett each hauled in one pass for six yards.

Defensively, the ‘Jacks Marion Thomas recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, while most of the defensive players were in on a safety for two Valley points.

The ‘Jacks will visit the undefeated Bellaire St Johns Fighting Irish Saturday at noon.
