Paden City Makes Quick Work of Knights, Bishops

Audrey Neff scored 24 points, one ace, 10 digs one kill and dished out 19 assists to lead Paden City to a pair of two set match victories over Wheeling Central (25-23, 25-20) and Bishop Donahue (25-12, 25-21) Sept. 29 inside Bob Burton Gymnasium.

Taylor Cosper added 15 points, six digs and delivered 30 assists, while Cydney Blatt contributed 11 points, five digs and blasted 27 kills. Dezisrae Middleton tallied 17 points, one ace and 10 digs, while Kallie Arnett scored 16 points and belted eight kills in the twin killings.

In addition, Alli Still pounded out 15 kills and bumped up a dig, while Malaynna Price added 15 markers, one ace, 13 digs and two kills. Katrina Heasley followed with four kills, while Jenna Ferrebee tallied two points and one kill.


Fresh off last week’s Player of the Week honors, Aubrey Neff delivered 47 points, three aces, two digs and a dozen assists to help lift Paden City to straight set victories over Notre Dame (25-6, 25-8) and Hundred (25-15, 25-16) Oct. 1 inside the Hornets Nest in Hundred.

Taylor Cosper contributed 20 assists, three kills and four points for the Lady ‘Cats, while Cydney Blatt delivered 25 kills and15 points combined in both matches. Kallie Arnett tallied 17 service points, while Malayna Price served up six points and bumped up a pair of digs.

In addition, Dezirae Middleton tallied 10 points, one ace and one dig, while Jenna Ferrebee, Katrina Heasley and Chelsea Baker each tallied a point and a kill in each contest.

Next up for the Lady ‘Cats are road matches with the River Pilots on Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m., and a Magnolia/Ravenswood triangular match Oct. 8. at 6:30 p.m.


Four Paden City performers scored in double figures, but it wasn’t quite enough to get past River in straight sets, 25-21 and 33-31 in a triangular volleyball match inside Bob Burton Gymnasium Sept. 28.

Last week’s Player of the Week Aubrey Neff, Kallie Arnett, Maylanna Price and Katrina Heasley each tallied a team-high 10 points, while Neff added four digs and eight assists, Arnett and Heasley each made two blocks.

In addition, Taylor Cosper netted seven markers, four digs and dished out 10 assists, while Cydney Blatt contributed five points and a team-high 11 kills. Abbi Still ended up with eight kills and two blocks.

For the victorious Lady Pilots, Haylee Winkler netted a game-high13 points, one kill and a block, while Lauren Flannery scored a point and dished out 13 assists. Jensen Caretti and Bailey Caldwell teamed up with 11 points, three services aces, 15 kills and 11 digs, while Brissa Marshall provided three points, two aces and bumped up four digs. Madison Harman added a kill, and Lexi Piatt added a kill and a dig.

The Lady ‘Cats took care of Cameron in straight sets, 28-26 and 25-17, while the Lady Pilots ousted the Lady Dragons, 25-14 and 25-20.

Neff led the way for Paden City with 14 points, one ace and six assists, while Cosper tallied eight markers, three digs and nine assists. Still provided four kills and a dig, while Dezirae Middleton tallied five points and a pair of digs.

In addition, Blatt cashed in 10 points and five kills, while Arnett added 11 points one ace and six kills. Price scored five points and made bumped up three digs, while Kameron McClain added a kill.

For the Lady Pilots against Cameron, Bailey Caldwell served up four service points, including four aces and three kills, while Candace Caldwell dished out four assists. Caretti made six of her spikes go for kills, while Flannery passed out four assists.

In addition, Madison Harman tallied seven points, while Marshall made three digs and Winkler scored four points. Halee Schultheis contributed two points, one ace and a dig, while Morgan Mahoney scored a point with a service ace.
