Magnolia remained undefeated as it rushed for 306 yards and three touchdowns while the defense limited Monroe Central to 50 yards of offense in a 23-0 shutout on Friday night at Alumni Field at Bill Stewart Memorial Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter, the Blue Eagles’ Brandon Mason picked off the ‘Noles Jarrett Hooper to set the table for a Chase Street 14-yard TD scamper to give the home team a 7-0 lead after the Troy Boughner PAT.

Street broke loose on a 55-yard touchdown run early in the third period with Boughner kicking the extra point.

The Eagles Brooks Parsons was about to waltz into the end zone on an end-around, but fumbled the ball at the Seminoles 6-yard line.

After a 2-yard loss, the Magnolia (6-0) defensive line had Hooper in its grasp, forcing an intentional grounding for a safety.

After the Seminoles (2-4) stopped a Magnolia fake field goal, the Eagles’ Todd Lemasters picked off his first of two passes and ran it back 40 yards, setting up a Nick Priem 10-yard TD run.

The Eagles accumulated 360 yards of offense with Street leading the way with 167 and two touchdowns on 13 carries, while Anderson rushed for 85 yards on 15 carries. Priem added 11 yards and a score, while Parsons netted 39 yards.

Priem was 7-for-13 for 37 yards. Kyle Ritz hauled in four passes for 22 yards, while Anderson, Kacor and Peau Halahingano each grabbing one.
