Magnolia’s Alex Anderson scored his 50th career goal against Williamstown on Aug. 22, but it wasn’t enough to get past the Yellowjackets, 10-1 in boys’ soccer action in a mutual season opener at Hydro Field in New Martinsville.

Aaron Schielbelhood assisted on the goal, while keepers Tyler Kazlman and Cody Wadsworth recorded 15 and five saves, respectively.

The Eagles return to action Aug. 27 against the Blue Devils in St. Marys. Starting time is at 6 p.m. Magnolia will host Tyler Consolidated Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. At the Hydro Field in New Martinsville.
