Hizer Inks With Wheeling Jesuit
Paden City graduate Kayla BreAnn Hizer, is shown signing to attend Wheeling Jesuit University on a track and field scholarship. Hizer participated all four years in high school track as a hurdler and will be trying her skills at the next level at Jesuit in 2016.
While in high school Hizer was a member of the track team four years, cross country three years and qualified for the state strack meet as a hurdler three years. She also became Paden City’s first runner to qualify for the state cross country meet.
Hizer has also the 200 meter and shuttle hurdles as well. As a sophomore she was won sixth place at the state meet as part of the shuttle team, and has won four first place awards at the Mason Dixon Conference Track Meet.
“I am prepared to continue my commitment to be the best that I can be as an athlete, and will work hard to be competitive at the next level. I wish to thank my coaches and especially my parents who have always been there to keep me going, ” said Hizer.
Hizer topped off her athletic career at Paden City High School by being named the PCHS 2015 female athlete from her class. Besides track and field, Hizer has also participated in cheerleading, volleyball, cross country, theater, band, basketball, and softball.
She has carried a 3.98 grade point average through high school and was the 2015 class Salutatorium.
At Jesuit, Hizer plans to major in Mathematics and pre-pharmacy studies.
Hizer is the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Hizer and the granddaughter of Phil and Carol Frazier and Bonnie Hizer. She has two brothers, Brandon and Hayden Hizer.
