Fox Lands on Big 12 Honorable Mention Squad

Eight West Virginia University baseball players earned All-Big 12 recognition the conference announced on Tuesday.

Sophomore first baseman Jackson Cramer, freshman designated hitter Kyle Davis and senior shortstop Taylor Munden were each named to the All-Big 12 Second Team.

Cramer is second on the team and third in the conference with eight home runs, Davis leads the team and is third in the Big 12 with a .353 batting average and Munden leads the team and conference with 11 home runs. Munden earned honorable mention honors in 2014.

West Virginia landed four players on the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention Team: sophomore right-hander Chad Donato, senior third baseman Justin Fox, junior right-hander Blake Smith and junior left-hander Ross Vance.

Additionally, Davis and freshman right-hander BJ Myers each were named to the All-Freshman Team.

West Virginia finished the regular season at 27-25 overall and 9-13 in the Big 12. WVU, which is the No. 7-seed, will play No. 2-seeded Oklahoma State in the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship on Wednesday, May 20. First pitch is set for 8:30 p.m. ET, at ONEOK Field in Tulsa, Okla.
