The Valley Lumberjills dropped 3-0 against Beallsville Sept. 16 and Beallsville.

Sammi Roberts and Sarah Bassett each scored seven points, with one of Roberts’ points an ace. In addition, she had eight digs. Bassett also spiked four and blocked one.

Whitney Haught and Summer Briggs sent up four points each, with Briggs adding 10 digs. Haught had five digs, three blocks and four spikes.

Bre Harris scored a point for the ‘Jills and Bailea Underwood add three more points, along with six digs and two spikes.

Erin Brown finished the scoring for Valley with three markers. She added six digs and as many spikes, along with 10 blocks.

The ‘Jills lost three sets and won one against Clay-Battelle Sept. 10 in Cee-Bee country. Haught helped Valley’s cause with nine points, an ace, five spikes, a kill and five blocks. Brown had nine points and an ace, six blocks and as many kills, with eight digs.

Harris had three digs while scoring eight points. Bassett had seven points, an ace, four spikes and three digs, while Underwood marked up four points, a spike and four digs.

The ‘Jills traveled to Hannibal for a re-match with the Lady Pilots after press time yesterday.
