The Magnolia Blue Eagle Booster Club acknowledged senior athletes in a special Senior Sports Banquet May 19 at Magnolia High School.

After a welcome and invocation by Neill Marshall and a catered meal by Quinet’s Court Restaurant, the late Gregory Bohrer, former booster president, was given a moment of silence to memorialize his long-time dedication to Magnolia sports.

Beth Glow, secretary of the MHS Booster Club, introduced the organization’s officers: Tom Clegg, president; Aimee Carpenter, vice president; and Pam Brill, treasurer.

Brent Gamble, on behalf of the Moose Lodge, presented Stephen Rogalski and Christa Harshberger the Gerald Hammel Award, while the Charlie Morris Grasshopper League presented Sam Brookover and Stephen Rogalski with $250 scholarships.

Winning the annual $500 Nim Priest and the $500 Esther Filliez Award were Tanner Hanna and Kennedy Slampak. Hanna also was awarded with the Edgar Rush scholarship.
