2012 District IV Sectional Champions, River Pilots

The Pilots’ Brett “Hit Man” Price lit up the Union Local Gymnasium for a game-high 32 points to lead the River Pilots past the Caldwell Redskins 61-48 March 3 to claim the Division IV semifinals. River now advances to district competition, where they will lock horns with Hiland, next Tuesday in Meadowbrook.

Price tossed in four bonus bombs and was true on 6-7 free throws, while connecting on 11 deuces to pace the Pilots. The Twin Towers of Evan Eggleston and Jordan Indermuhle combined to haul in 22 of the Pilots’ 34 rebounds.

In addition, Eggleston netted 15 points, while Indermuhle sank six markers. Cody Caldwell contributed six points and Kameron Brown sank a deuce.

For the night, the Pilots were 24-41 from the floor, while netting 9-12 from the charity stripe. They turned over the ball 11 times, compared with 18 for the Redskins.
