OVAC?Foul Shooting Qualifiers
Semi-final qualifiers and locations have been released by the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference and the OVAC Boosters for the Third Annual OVAC Booster Foul Shooting Competition. It will mark the second straight year that the competition and championships will be held in the fall, prior to the start of basketball season.
A total of 74 shooters advanced from school-level competitions to the semi-finals, which will be conducted at two locations. A shootout will be conducted at a third site, Steubenville High School, that will advance the winners to the championships at Buckeye Local High School on Saturday, Nov. 19 starting at 10 a.m.
Semi-final competition will be held at Caldwell High School and John Marshall High School starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. A boys’ and girls’ winner will be advanced in four different age groups. The age groups are 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, 7th/8th grade and grades 9-12.
All semi-final competitors will receive a t-shirt compliments of the OVAC Boosters with the winner and runner-up at each semi-final site receiving plaques. Winners only will advance to the finals at Buckeye Local on Nov. 19.

5th/6th Grade Girls: Sierra Knowlton, Sardis Elementary, and Lauren Flannery, Hannibal Elementary; 7th/8th Grade Boys Isaac Curtis, Sardis Elementary and Joey Flannery, Hannibal Elementary; 7th/8th Grade Girls Madison Harman, Sardis Elementary, and Brielle Williams, Hannibal Elementary.
